In addition to the announcement of this upcoming collection, Telltale also confirmed that Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Book of Eli) will be returning to Telltale's writers room as a Story Consultant for the series' upcoming fourth and final season. Whitta was part of the BAFTA-award winning team of writers on the first season of the Telltale series and will be collaborating with Telltale and the creative team at Skybound Entertainment on the final chapters of Clementine's storyline.

"Collaborating with Telltale on the first season of Clementine's journey through the world of The Walking Dead was one of the highlights of my career, so reuniting with them to now bring her story to a close with this final season feels like a homecoming," said Whitta. "Clementine has become not just one of the most compelling characters in the Walking Dead pantheon but one of the great video game characters of all time. I hope we're able to do justice to her and to her millions of fans. This one feels special."

The Walking Dead is an unparalleled journey into the heart of what it means to be human in a world that's lost its humanity. Now the first three seasons, as well as horror anthology 400 Days and the three-part mini-series starring blade-wielding icon Michonne, will be available in one place for the first time, allowing you to prepare for the upcoming fourth and final season starring beloved survivor Clementine (due out in 2018).

"Clementine has meant so much to fans since the series premiered in 2012," said Melissa Hutchison, the award-winning actress behind the iconic character. "It's incredible to see this series collection arriving all in one place for players to relive the journey or catch up on her tragic tale of survival before we head into the final chapters of her storyline next year."

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection will be available at retail and digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting December 5th, 2017 for the suggested price of $49.99 USD or equivalent. The Walking Dead: The Final Season (working title) will debut in 2018 on consoles, PC/Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices.Additional platforms are yet to be announced.

ASSASSIN’S CREED® ORIGINS ‘TIME TRAVEL’ PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION COMING THIS FRIDAY TO LONDON

RENOWNED INSTAGRAM PHOTOGRAPHERS BRING ANCIENT EGYPT TO LIFE IN THE HEART OF LONDON

Today, Ubisoft® has announced the launch of the official Assassin’s Creed® Origins ‘Time Travel’ Photography Exhibition - a one-day-only photography exhibition displaying visual stills captured directly from the latest instalment in the franchise. The exhibition will feature a range of stunning photos captured using the much-acclaimed in-game Photo Mode tool and taken by four of the UK’s leading Instagram travel photographers, who were posed a challenge by Ubisoft: ‘If you were able to travel back to Ancient Egypt, what picture would you post?’

Chosen for their striking and varied portfolios, the four contributing photographers are @tschang (101,000 followers), @zobolondon (82,900 followers), @ari55 (48,100 followers), and @femsta (17,300 followers) ,with each having been challenged to capture two in-game shots that they felt would best reflect their personal style. Using the latest in video-capture technology, together with the in-built Photo Mode tool, the native 4K images have been transferred from the game into print for public display at the exhibition.

Available to the public and free for all attendees, the ACO ‘Time Travel’ Exhibition will be open from 10:00am - 17:00pm on Friday 3rd November 2017.

Location: Hospital Club, 24 Endell St, WC2H 9HQ

The photo mode in Assassin's Creed Origins allows players to capture the most majestic photos directly from the game by simply pressing a button and without leaving the game itself – with the freedom of moving the camera around and zooming in and out on their desired shot. The mode also provides players with 17 different filters to make their photos even more visually compelling.

Sam Conisbee, Digital Manager at Ubisoft UK, said: “Since the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Origins back at E3 2017, we knew that fans would be very excited by the beauty, diversity and endless vistas that Ancient Egypt had to offer. The ACO ‘Time Travel’ photo exhibition is the perfect way to celebrate the launch of game and showcase some of the most beautiful in-game pictures ever captured from a videogame. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with four of the most talented travel photographers, and they’ve truly brought Assassin’s Creed Origins to life through this exhibition.”

Zoë Timmers (@zobolondon), one of the Instagram Travel Photographers selected to contribute to the exhibition, said: “For me, this was a really fun and very different project to work on. As a travel photographer, I’m used to visiting incredible real-world locations and getting the best out of them, so it’s testament to the game itself that I’ve been able to apply the same eye for beautiful vistas and gorgeous locations to capture a place from a time-gone-by so intimately.”

Assassin’s Creed Origins is available now for the Xbox One video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 Pro computer entertainment system, PlayStation®4 and Windows PC, and on Xbox One X at its launch on November 7th, 2017.

Crate and Progression Update

We’ve made changes to crates and progression based on player’s feedback. The beta gave us a welcome chance to test all of our systems in action and tune things up for better balance. A few weeks ago, we mentioned we were going to take another look at how the progression system works and after incorporating community feedback, we’re happy to share our plans for launch:

  • Epic Star Cards, the highest tier of Star Cards available at launch, have been removed from Crates
  • You'll need to reach a certain rank to craft upgraded Star Cards
  • Weapons are locked behind specific milestones
  • Class-specific gear and items can be unlocked by playing as them

We’ll be continuously looking at player feedback to help fine tune and improve this system and others in the game, as we’re committed to keeping the community together including releasing all post-launch content for free and going to make sure that the game is fun for everyone.

Head to the Star Wars Battlefront II blog here to read more about how we’ve adjusted the progression system in the final game.
