WINNERS REVEALED FOR THE “WE ARE TEKKEN” INSTAGRAM COMPETITION

After receiving hundreds of submissions, the We are Tekken Instagram project winners have been chosen.

In a first of its kind for the games industry,The “We are Tekken”  Instagram project played on the “Tag” element of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and asked fans from around the globe to use Instagram to tag photos that showed what Tekken means to them. The initiative received entries from fans across the globe and the top 40 entries, as judged by world renowned rock and roll artist Vince Ray, were put on display at the Protein gallery in Shoreditch.

The overall winner of the incredible Tekken goody bag was user @kurozen with their reimagining of the character Yoshimtisu . The image was created by using a simple image of moonlight shining through a tree and using the mirror effect, they created an eerie image representing the face of Yoshimitsu.

Vince Ray who decided on the top 40 and overall winner said “I was very impressed with the quality and variety of submissions this project received. It was a tough decision but the winning entries were ones that showed both a level of artistic creativity and an innovative way of showing what Tekken meant to them. It was a fantastic opportunity to be a part of this and was great to see the gaming and art world come together for this unique project.”
