Worms Collection
Worms has been around for many many years now, in fact the first Worms was launched back in 1995 followed by Worms 2: Armegeddon and more recently Worms Ultimate Mayhem. Well now thanks to Mastertronic if you’re too young to remember the first or second you can now enjoy all three in one ultimate collection. Available now on Xbox 360 and PS3 with six bonus DLC packs.

I took the opportunity to take a look at it on PS3.  I’m not a big fan of Worms at all and found the original game a little boring and not enough action – but that’s personal opinion.

If you’ve never played any of the Worm’s games the basic concept throughout all of them is to Save the Worms’ and defeat the enemy.   Using an arsenal of weapons such as cannons, bazooka’s, guns, bombs and more you use stealth and strategy to defeat the other ‘enemy’ worms.

Depending on which of the three games you choose to play you have more weapons, skills and tricks to use including teleportation, suicidal sheep etc.

There are plenty of maps to keep you entertained and the games stick to the traditional concepts. The original Worms has been enhanced and looks good in HD.

There is a ‘weak’ storyline behind each of the games, maps and strategies, however overall it’s a strategic blow em up game, that can either give you hours of entertainment or make you bored quite quickly.

For fans of Worm’s it’s great to have all three games plus new DLC content available all in one place on your favourite console, but if like me it didn’t ‘float your boat’ back in 95 it still won’t float it today.  Games Booth Rating 6/10
