Merlin: A Servant of Two Masters Nintendo DS
If you’ve been watching the TV series over the past few years you may very well be interested in the latest game of the same name. We got our hands on the Nintendo DS version of the game and decided to give it a go – as a fan of hidden object games (on the iPad) and having recently reviewed the Titanic game of similar genre, we were looking forward to settling down for an evening of DS gaming. Well, truth be told, DS gaming tends to take place for half an hour or so when I first get into bed!
Merlin is now under Morgana’s rule and boy is she going to use him as a powerful, magical tool against her enemies. You play as Arthur, Gaius and Guinevere and complete mini-games and puzzles, alongside hidden object games in order to attempt to stop her using him for her evil plans.

The on screen images are actually quite well planned out, so that you can actually see what you need to in the hidden object screens. The mini puzzles aren’t all that challenging but they’re fun none the less. The actual weakest point of this game is the storyline, but as I’m not an avid fan of the TV programme this may just be my opinion. The game can be enjoyed by all but will be best enjoyed by Merlin fans.
Games Booth Rating 7/10
