Discover Pikachu at MCM Comic Con!
Pikachu photo calls, classic Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire battles, and more mark The Pokémon Company International’s first visit to MCM London Comic Con.
With the launch of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games right around the corner, fans will have the chance to rediscover the original games by taking part in on-stand battle sessions. Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version, which originally launched on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, will be set up for those who wish to relive past glories and test their retro-gaming mettle against friends and family.
Other hands-on experiences can also be enjoyed, thanks to the recently launched Pokémon Trading Card Game Online (TCGO) app, which will be available for visitors to try on iPad. The game will also be available on PC.
A display of art from Pokémon developers GAME FREAK inc. will showcase behind-the-scenes designs and concepts from Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, and the most recent releases, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Visitors also will be able to check out other beautiful images and art that went into bringing all six Pokémon regions from Kanto to Kalos to life.
Giveaways include sampling packs of the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, XY—Phantom Forces, and bright yellow sun visors, complete with Pikachu’s iconic ears and red cheeks. Fans will also be able to pick up a special code enabling them to download a Special Demo Version of Pokémon Omega Ruby andPokémon Alpha Sapphire. This Special Demo Version gives players a glimpse of the Hoenn adventure coming on November 28. (Please note that supplies of giveaways are limited.)
Last but by no means least, Pikachu will make appearances throughout the three-day show and will happily pose for photos with those lucky enough to discover it on the stand!
