In a story where Superman loses faith in humanity and establishes a new world order it's up to Batman’s Insurgency to battle Superman's Regime. And battle they do.
Now to the game play, I can honestly say I found the buttons were easy to work out and after doing a few of the tutorials it was easy. The characters looked like they were coming out of mortal kombat and the moves were very similar never the less it's a lot better than some of the other beat em up games out at the moment, the only let down was, blocky, bland city scapes and a lack of high resolution textures. But on the plus side it does allow you to use the objects on the screen to help take out your opponent either throwing a bomb at them or even riding a motor bike over them, if you find yourself out of objects why not knock them through the transition every arena has one or two unless its Metropolis which has three and rack up a nice little hit combo - by little we are talking from 10-35 hit combos. The story mode seemed straight forward at nearly every turn there was a fight or two and while going through the different chapters it makes you enjoy the uses of different characters and you even start enjoying being the villain.
After finishing the story mode, why not rank your level up and play some ranked matches online, show the world who the greatest hero or villain is! You have your own character badge, but unlock more DC character badges as you work through the rankings. If you want to show how good you have really become then why not try the Koth mode dethrone the King and take his place, how long can you last??
This fast fighting beat 'em up game will have you wanting more, I guess there is just one question on everyone's mind..
Who would win in a fight between Batman or Superman? I guess there is only one way to find out..
