So the story goes..... Once upon a time... blah blah blah.... yeah let's scratch that and simply talk all things Lego!

Way back in time when the first Lego title came out for the PS2, yes PS2 it was called Lego Batman The Video Game, we all thought wow, this could be the start of something epic!

With the imagination of the Lego Empire, WB and TT Games there was no end to what they could create next in the gaming franchise, Lego Star Wars - Harry Potter and so on, then late last year and early this we were granted the delights of the Lord Of The Rings series and now it's led us on to the journey of the Hobbits - well just the one really - he goes by the name of Bilbo Baggins (by the way my wife once had a dog, who's pedigree name was Albrighton Bilbo Baggins. Father-in-Law is a LOTR nut! - But I digress).

We learn of the story of the wizardry legend that is Gandalf the great and how Bilbo Baggins first became a chosen one. Together with their band of merry men, Thorin, Oakenshield and many dwarfs they journey across the Lego world of Middle Earth in order to reclaim back the lost kingdom of Erebor, which is rightfully there's.

Of course, many other creatures and 'breeds' want Erebor or want to get in the way of Bilbo and his crew. So throughout this Lego game you'll have to use skills, tools and wizardary to defeat Orcs, Trolls and Gollum.  Players must utilise all their abilities to aide each other along the way in many battles in there quest to reach their goals. Even standing on the shoulders of others!

It's nice to play another Lego game that takes you back to what we all love and enjoy with these games. Several actual Lego game levels within the story, a free roaming land with several special bricks to collect. Don't forget that like all good Lego games, once you have done the story mode you have to go back to each level again, with characters with other abilities than you first had, in order to collect all the hidden bricks,  special feature parts and more.  It's the only way you will complete 100% of the game.

It's fantastic game for all Lego game lovers, young and old. just remember don't let the ring rule your heart!
