Nordic Games is excited to announce that Steam will be hosting a free multiplayer weekend for Painkiller Hell & Damnation, starting today.

There are  Also some incredible prizes up for grabs during this weekend’s free multiplayer gaming 

Whoever occupies the top 3 spots of the “Deathmatch” mode leader board when the multiplayer event closes at 9pm GMT on Sunday Feb 3^rd will win the following prizes:

Global Number one wins: Alienware Desktop “Aurora” + season pass for all present and upcoming DLCs 

Global Number two wins: Alienware Laptop “M17x” + season pass for all present and upcoming DLCs

Players are in for a hellish treat when the trial starts at 6pm GMT this evening and runs until February 3^rd at 9pm GMT. The multiplayer weekend is open to all, even those who have not yet purchased the game. Nordic Games will also reset the global leaderboards before the free weekend begins, giving players a warm-up phase until Friday 6pm GMT. The global top 3 in "Deathmatch" as of Sunday 9pm GMT will receive some exclusive painkiller prizes, details of which will be announced on Monday.

Throughout the weekend there will also be the added bonus for players to purchase the game at a specially discounted price of just £6.12 - a monstrous 66% off the original purchase price

The multiplayer weekend will allow players to jump in and experience all the multiplayer action from the main game including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Survival. Weekend bargain hunters will also be able to experience the entire first chapter of the single player campaign.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation was released for PC on October 31^st2012. The campaign features an all-action crusade that can be played in single player mode and co-operative mode across four chapters, and several multiplayer-modes. A vast array of demons and fiends will be encountered along the way.

Nintendo announces today that the upcoming Wii U exclusive LEGO City Undercover,developed by TT Games, will be available in a limited-edition software bundle which includes both the retail game and a LEGO minifigure of Chase McCain: the multi-talented cop whose many skills will be required to save the day.

In LEGO City Undercover, Chase McCain is trying to arrest the dangerous Rex Fury who is responsible for the recent  crime wave in LEGO City. To do this he goes undercover, exploring the sprawling open-world LEGO City and donning a range of different costumes for special abilities; for example, dressed up as a miner he can utilise dynamite, while becoming a robber lets him pry open doors. The unique properties of the Wii U GamePad controller come into play throughout the hunt for Rex Fury. The GamePad functions as a Communicator to talk to others, is used to scan the surroundings for clues or criminals, or to view the handy map and GPS route when driving around the city.
