LA Noire enjoys record-breaking launch success Read below!

Rockstar's long-awaited detective thriller LA Noire has coasted to the top of the UK all-formats chart in its first week of release, breaking industry records in the process.
The critically acclaimed adventure has seen the biggest ever debut for a brand new gaming franchise, while ranking within the top 15 Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3launches of all time, according to official GfK-ChartTrack data.
LA Noire transports gamers back to a lavishly recreated 1950s Los Angeles, where they can step into the shoes of an up-and-coming detective in the LAPD.
It combines visceral car chases and combat with cerebral investigation sections, with interrogation scenes brought to life via the game's cutting-edge facial animation technology.
Other top sellers this week included last week's chart leader Lego Pirates of the Caribbean in second, while PC exclusive The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings scored an impressive fifth-place debut.
Next week will see the debut of DiRT 3, the latest in Codemasters' hit offroad racing series, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
