The European Games Award offers a brilliant overview of the Pan-European gaming landscape. The jury chooses the 100 best titles of more than 400 computer- and videogames, which are being developed every year in Europe, but leaves the final choice of the favourites to the games fans. The voting is carried out in 20 categories, e. g. “Best European Game“, “Best European Gameworld“ and “Europe’s Most Wanted Game“. Two categories are new this year – “Most Wanted Online Game” and “Best European Character Design“. However, the European Games Award not only honours the games, but also all the people who made a contribution to their development. So the “Best European Studio“, “Best European Publisher” and the “Best European Community” will be chosen as well. The “Personality Award“ goes to a person who render ed the mostoutstanding services to the gaming industry in the past year.
