Here we go again, the next footie game from EA, so what’s different?  Well it’s even more realistic, yes that’s right, more!

Football is one of my passions; I don’t play it, can’t go to live matches due to work schedules but for as long as I can remember I have avidly followed my team.   But what about playing it on the console?  I always played Football Manager in the early days and then I started to play the FIFA games and the Pro Evo.  Now you’re either one camp or the other and the latest edition from EA really makes you want to be in the FIFA camp.
Bringing even more realistic features into the game, this is a truly fantastic work of gaming art.

You can play the game or manager the team, the choice is yours – hence my mention of football manager earlier.   Managing the team is known as FIFA ultimate Team, you simply build your team by buying the players you want (within your budget) and trading within the online FIFA community.  What is fun about this is that you can do this via your iPhone too – there’s an app for that!

So what about the game itself, what adjustments have been made to it? One of the most noticeable is the control of the ball and the passing techniques.  The ball no longer ‘always’ makes it to your other players feet – this time is really is about true skill and the more you enhance your player the more likely they are going to get the pass when made – this means that undeveloped players are simply that on the pitch. You need to utilise all your skills and all your players in order to build a strong, defensive and attacking team.

The elements come into play much more in FIFA 13,  controlling a high ball in the rain requires more skill than in the dry weather, much like playing on a wet pitch requires more control not only of the ball but of your feet.

EA has also added in better dribbling, meaning that you can attack while dribbling making it possible to go straight at defensive players and ‘dribbling’ round them.
There’s so much to FIFA 13 that I could go on and on, however all I can really say is take a look at the official website and go and buy it.I shall leave you Here with some shots from Messi!
