Today, Activision Blizzard Esports announces the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League™ will begin with the Call of Duty League Launch Weekend at the Minneapolis Armory from January 24-26, 2020, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The event will be hosted by Minnesota Røkkr – the Call of Duty League team operated by WISE Ventures Esports, under ownership of the Wilf Family (owners of the Minnesota Vikings), and investor Gary Vaynerchuk – will feature all 12 professional Call of Duty League teams competing across three days. The weekend will feature additional fan and player experiences to celebrate the launch of Activision Blizzard Esports’ highly anticipated new city-based league.

The Call of Duty League follows a home-vs-away format with 5-versus-5 professional match play, with 12 teams in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Florida, London, Los Angeles (2), Minnesota, New York, Paris, Seattle, and Toronto. Throughout the season, each team will host “Home Series” weekends in their market, with multiple pro teams competing at each event.

Launch Weekend will also feature the season’s first Call of Duty Challengers™ Open, where amateur players from around the world can compete as teams in an open bracket tournament format. Beginning in November, Call of Duty Challengers competitors will begin battling via online ladders and tournaments for their share of an overall dedicated prize pool of more than $1 million during the 2020 season. Challengers team passes for Launch Weekend will go on sale in early December.

Star Trek Online: Awakening Now Available on Xbox One and PlayStation®4

We’re excited to share that Star Trek Online: Awakening has arrived on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. Starting today, console players can return to the 25th Century to team up with Lt. Commander Paul Stamets (voiced by Anthony Rapp) from Star Trek: Discovery. Captains will embark on a crucial mission to save the Mycelial Network, while exploring a brand new series of patrols, a new Task Force Operation and special event challenges to earn a new T6 Elachi ship.

Star Trek Online: Awakening challenges players to recover Mycelial spore technology stolen by J’Ula, sister of T’Kuvma and matriarch of the Klingon House of Mo’Kai. In order to stop the Klingons from causing permanent damage to the Mycelial Network, captains will require the expertise of an astromycology expert. Together they will create a sentient hologram of Commander Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp) from the U.S.S. Discovery and repair rifts in the fabric of space. Awakening also features exciting new gameplay content for players to discover, including: 
  • Brand New Featured Episode – Captains hailing from all of the game’s factions can participate in the new featured episode “Beneath the Skin.” Players will depend on a hologram of Commander Paul Stamets from the U.S.S Discovery to safely guide them through the Mycelial Network.
●      Five New Patrols – Players can embark on a mission with Stamets and Star Trek Online luminaries like Lukari Captain Kuumaarke to close the rifts caused by the Klingons.
●      New Task Force Operation  Up to five players can participate in this special ground TFO against the Elachi, which tasks them with shutting down probes that threaten to destroy the Mycelial Network.
●      Mycelial Crisis Event – Captains who participate in this special event can earn the new T6 Elachi ship by playing through the new featured episode, patrols and TFO throughout the next month.
●      New Event UI – The dev team has revamped the Event UI to make it easier for players to access new special events.
●      Patrol Systems – A new tab has been added to the PvE system, which allows captains to immediately enter selected patrols and gain bonus rewards.
●      New Starships – On November 21, players will be able to purchase the new Intel Science Bundle, which includes the Klingon Balth and the U.S.S. Somerville, a starship first introduced in the Star Trek Comics from IDW Publishing.

Borderlands Anniversary Celebration -- Week 3: Show Me the Eridium!
Good afternoon,

We're continuing to celebrate Borderlands' 10-year anniversary with another week of in-game bonuses for Borderlands 3. This week’s event: Show Me the Eridium!

For the duration of this event, Eridium drops will be added to standard enemies, Eridium drops in Mayhem Mode will be increased, Moxxi's Vault Line slot machine will cost less Eridium to play, and all the cosmetic items and Anointed weapons at Crazy Earl's hideout in the Cargo Bay of Sanctuary III will be discounted. (In case you haven't done business with Crazy Earl before, he’s the only vendor who deals in Eridium, the special currency earned exclusively through gameplay.)

Please note that in order to smash apart Eridium deposits and collect the shards, you’ll need the Eridium Resonator, an artifact you’ll naturally obtain as you play through the story missions leading up to Eden-6. Once you’ve earned it, your melee strikes will be powerful enough to shatter Eridium chunks apart for collection.

The “Show Me the Eridium” event will begin via micropatch by or before 23:00 BST on Tuesday, October 15. You'll receive an in-game notification if you're playing while the micropatch goes live. To ensure that the micropatch is successfully applied, verify that you're online, then simply remain in the main menu for a minute or two.

THE LIMITED-TIME EVENT BRINGS A MAGICAL TWIST TO THE WORLD OF RAINBOW SIX® SIEGE, ALSO UNICORNS


Today, Ubisoft released Rainbow is Magic, a Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege limited time event where players are tasked with rescuing a Teddy Bear from nefarious captors on a dramatically reimagined classic map, Plane. Available from 1st April to 8th April, and in honour of April Fools' Day, Rainbow is Magic will introduce 17 new exclusive items (no duplicate drops) that’s all about toys, unicorns and… tactical cuteness! Rainbow is Magic will include full outfits composed of different items alongside with headgear that players can acquire for Smoke, Tachanka, Montagne, and Blackbeard.

For this extremely critical mission, players can choose from 13 current operators reimagined as toy soldiers and plushies, including Recruit, Montagne, Blackbeard, Ash, Thermite, Thatcher, Sledge, Smoke, Castle, Kapkan, Bandit, Frost, and of course, Tachanka.
