LET BATTLE COMMENCE AS NINTENDO UK HOSTS SUPER SMASH BROS. FOR NINTENDO 3DS TOURNAMENT

To celebrate the launch of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, fans will be able to battle it out for the chance to be crowned National Champion 2014

Fans of the Smash Bros. franchise will be pleased to learn that they can apply to enter the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DSNational Championship  from 3^rd to 8^th October, to celebrate the launch of this all-star fighting game on a handheld console for the first time. Successful applicants will have the chance to not only be crowned the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS National Champion, but the overall winner also receive aWii U console, a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U when it is released in the UK this winter and a Super Smash Bros. merchandise goody bag.

To enter Smash Bros. fans need to have access to a copy of the game and a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS and then apply viawww.nintendo.co.uk/supersmashbros3DStournament, selecting their preferred date and location, to be in with a chance of taking part in the nation-wide tournament. Entrants will need to be quick as spaces for the heats are limited! The tournament heats will be held on 11^th and 12^th October at the following 8 GAME stores across the UK, with the Grand Final set to take place in London on 31^st October:

• Edinburgh, St James Centre
• Hull, St Stephens Centre
• Sheffield, Meadowhall
• Manchester, Trafford Centre
• Birmingham, Bullring 
• Stratford, London, Westfield 
• Chelmsford, Exchange way
• Bristol, Cribbs Causeway

The knock-out rounds will determine 32 finalists, 4 from each of the 8 regional heats, who’ll then battle it out one final time at York Hall in London, to take home the prestigious Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS National Championship title and prize. The runner up will also receive a copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U when it is released in the UK this winter, along with other Super Smash Bros. goodies, so no one will be going home empty handed!
