                       Evolution Of Video Games

How Gaming Has Changed Throughout History

Starting with the launch of Pong in 1972, right up to this years’ Pokemon Go, and taking into account games built for Atari, Nintendo, Sony, Sega, Android and Windows, the graphic outlines the year each game was released to the public, as well as how many downloads/copies of each game were sold.
Check out the info graph below for a more in-depth look.

Here is the thoughts of Dan Hawkins, spokesperson for Lottoland.co.uk, says:
“Video games have come a long way since their earliest incarnations. From Pong to Pokemon Go, they've undergone countless changes, and developed from humble 2D lines into incredible interactive real-world experiences. It doesn't matter if you spent your youth playing PacMan in an arcade, or Call of Duty in your bedroom, our infographic will drag you down memory lane all the same.
As for the future of video gaming, after augmented reality products, such as Microsoft's HoloLens the next obvious step is virtual reality. Mobile-compatible headsets are already on the market, as are fully immersive rigs such as the Oculus Rift and Playstation VR. It's too early to predict a market winner but it's fair to say that the future of games will be more immersive, more sensory-based and will offer more impressive sound and graphics than ever before!”
