Secrets of the Titanic 1912-2012 from Avanquest Software Publishing will be available on Nintendo DS™ from 13th April to mark the 100th anniversary of the fateful maiden voyage. The 3DS version will follow later this Spring.
The hidden-object adventure game offers players the chance to travel back in time and board the RMS Titanic, searching for hundreds of hidden objects and complete challenging mini-games and puzzles to test speed, accuracy and judgment.
The tense and exciting plot starts in the present and follows Eva as she experiences flashbacks and finds herself on board the Titanic with the power to change the course of history. Gamers can switch between two time periods, 1912 and 2012, and can chose to play in either relaxed or timed mode. By solving puzzles throughout the game, the mysteries behind the greatest maritime tragedy of all time are unlocked and gamers learn that being in control of the past has an impact on the future.
As gamers scour the ship and learn about the past, they must uncover hundreds of objects hidden on board. Ranging from passports and cigar boxes to brooches and hats, the objects when found, are added to an inventory list displayed on the bottom screen and will come in use when faced with a puzzle or problem. Meeting fellow passengers for help along the way, players must explore a variety of iconic locations ranging from the boiler room and infamous first class stairwell, to the upper decks and life boats. Designed to test logic, problem solving and hidden object skills, there are also a number of mini-games which can be unlocked as you progress through the adventure.
Secrets of the Titanic: 1912-2012 is available on the Nintendo DS™ from 13th April and on 3DS™ from later this Spring. It is available from GAME, Tesco, HMV, Amazon, Morrisons, ASDA, Play.com and www.avanquest.co.uk.
