Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge slams into stores on Friday

PC version joins Xbox 360 and PS3 line-up; initial run of console versions allocated to stores – more on the way

The most sophisticated, playable and authentic simulation of rugby ever created hits European home consoles this Friday (14th October 2011) and PCs a week later.
Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge is a triumph of the game, endorsed by arguably the greatest ever player. Demand for the game has been so strong that publisher Alternative Software has today revealed that the initial allocation of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has been shipped to stores.

Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge boasts more licenses, players and competitions than any rugby video game in history. Players will experience the ultimate game, including the Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect PRO12 and the Orange Top 14. With all the major European teams included, and the only game to feature the All Blacks and the Wallabies, Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge offers everything a player needs in both club and international competitions.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response,” says Roger Hulley, managing director, Alternative Software. “Our entire allocation of console stock has been snapped by stores, so for the time being, when it’s gone, it’s gone. All pre-orders have been fulfilled, and there’s more on the way – but we’re urging those who are eager to get their hands on the best rugby simulation ever to not leave it too long.

“Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge isn’t just a game based on international rugby – it is also for Welsh, Irish, Scottish English and French rugby club fans. The game bears official licenses of the Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect PRO12, the Orange TOP 14 – every leading European rugby club is officially licensed within the game. With more features, more licenses, more players and more competitions than any other rugby game available, Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge is the return to form that Rugby and video game fans have been hoping for.”

Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge features include:

·         Play in Single Match Mode, Competition Mode, and multi year Career Mode as well as extensive help and Tutorial Mode options available for players new to the sport
