You all know that I thoroughly loved the Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games, they were both games of there years for me and many others. Luckily for those of us that did enjoy these the team at Warner Bros Entertainment regularly provide us with titbits of DLC content so that we can have a small fix, while waiting for them to create a complete new game. (well that's a little of my wishful thinking).
Maybe there is something in the water though, because for those of you that have paid out for the most recent DLC - Harley Quinn's Revenge you'll have stopped for one small moment and asked yourself - "Has Harley Quinn become the mother to Jokers child? Why are there positive pregnancy tests and a babies crib?" Maybe the answers to these questions will be answered in another place and time. (more wishful thinking!)
Robin has to fight Harley's goon, including the ridiculously large Titan and then Harley herself in his quest to save Batman. Once saved you become Batman again in order to save the warehouse you are in from destruction by bomb. The insane Harley has planted several coded devices, which needs Batman's cryptographic sequencer to decode. Luckily in this DLC you have all the devices and tools that you should have collected throughout the main storyline for Batman.
The storyline is smooth and the game play is as expected from this great game. I have to admit I much prefer the DLC's that give you additional story game play and additional missions. The Robin and Joker challenge maps didn't do anything for me totally bored me in fact, so I was delighted to see that Harley Quinn's Revenge was much more like the Catwoman DLC. There's even 30 balloons in this that need finding and popping.
The only thing with this content is it is very short and sweet, a couple of hours game play if that. It could've been so much more and longer - this could've been a Robin V's Harley adventure in itself. Also I think this is a little overpriced at £6.49 - considering it's so short a story.
If you're a big lover of the Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games then you have to download this game, but don't expect days of game play for this, it's simply great if you've got a couple of hours spare on a weekend or evening.
The question still remains open though - is Joker dead? Is there a new Joker in training? Does he / she have the wit and deviousness of their dad and the charisma and charm of their mother. Only time will tell.
