“Our World” Gameplay Trailer Reveal
High Moon Studios and Activision are proud to present the first gameplay trailer for the forthcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron video game (Xbox 360, PS3). The trailer titled “Our World” sets up the epic, original story crafted for the game. Accompanying the trailer is an exclusive behind-the-scenes video with interviews from the developers at High Moon Studios.
The Autobots and Decepticons have been battling each other for centuries, and as a result their beloved home planet of Cybertron is dying. Possible salvation lies in a faraway blue planet discovered orbiting a yellow sun - a planet whose energy resources could save the Transformers from extinction. But who will reach this new planet first? The Autobots who value life and freedom for all beings, or the Decepticons driven by a quest for perfect order and glory. In a struggle that takes place 70 million years before man, the fate of Earth lies in the balance.
Using all in-game assets, this new trailer captures the incredible variety of gameplay, characters, abilities and environments in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The trailer opens amongst the war torn ruins of Cybertron, the Autobots are vastly outnumbered against the massive Decepticon army. The battle wages both on the ground and in the air; Optimus Prime,Bumblebee, Jetfire and the Dinobot Grimlock battle for the Autobots, while Megatron leads Starscream, Swindle, & the massive combiner robot Bruticus (to name only a few).
The trailer concludes with a final fight between the two legendary leaders. In an epic hand-to-hand battle the two iconic figures fight for their beliefs with the fate of many at stake. This is the culmination of all the most brutal moments of the war. One shall stand, one shall fall. Will it be the harsh order of the Decepticons who promise a new golden age for Cybertron, or the Autobots who battle for freedom and the rights of all…?
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is officially released on 31st August 2012 throughout Europe and on 28th August in North America
