The Dinobots are a legendary part of the Transformers franchise, first created during the original 1980’s cartoon series. Absent from recent offerings in the Transformers universe, but still enjoying massive fan appeal, High Moon Studios partnered with Hasbro to bring the Dinobots into the story arc for the forthcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron video game.

Once a powerful strike team on the Transformers home planet of Cybertron, the five members of the Dinobots were captured by the Decepticons during the final battles of the war. Using information gained from prehistoric Earth, the powerful Decepticon Shockwave performs experiments on the captured Dinobot team in an attempt to control them, but ultimately fails to control their allegiance. The Dinobots Swoop, Snarl, Sludge, and Slug are lead by their leader Grimlock who transforms into an unstoppable T-Rex. They are amongst the most powerful forces for the Autobots in their battle to survive against the Decepticons.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is officially released on 31st August 2012
