Call of Duty® Voted Best Videogame Franchise by Readers of Guinness World Records 2015 Gamer’s Edition in Online Poll

An online poll of more than 5,000 readers of the Guinness World Records Gamers Edition, from across 140 countries around the world, voted the Call of Duty series their favourite game this year.

The Call of Duty franchise is also recognised by Guinness World Records as being the best-selling first-person shooter videogame series, having sold 188,900,000 units cross all formats as of July 2014.

The series has also resulted in some record-breaking performances submitted by fans to Guinness World Records via their Challengers website.

Canadian gamer Daniel McNeilly registered a yet-to-beaten time of 18.40 to set a record for fastest time to complete the Stay Sharp level of Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops last year.

Brothers Tristen Geren and Taylor Geren worked together to capture the flag in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, while blindfolded, in just 38.40 seconds in Fredericksburg, Texas, USA, on 16 September 2013.

The latest game in the series, Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare, takes players to a future devastated by a global attack. Playing as Jack Mitchell, players become the advanced soldier as they suit up in a revolutionary exoskeleton and join a highly-trained unit committed to restoring order.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is available now from all good retailers. www.callofduty.com
