Hollyoaks’ Max & OB to host Game Zone Stage; FIFA pros Nepenthez, MattHDGamer, Wroetoshaw, Callux, Calfreezy and Tobiias to make live PAs
Visitors to this year’s Gadget Show Live @ Christmas will be able to play Microsoft and Sony’s next generation games consoles – the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – more than three weeks before they go on sale to the public.

Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be the highlight of the Gadget Show Live @ Christmas’ Game Zone. The new consoles launch in the UK on 22 and 29 November respectively after a seven-year gap since the release of their predecessors (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3).
Alongside Microsoft and Sony, games publisher EA will be hosting a Battlefield 4 tournament in the game’s launch week; PlayJam vs GameStick will be demoing the fantastic new Android-based Game Stick console, set to launch later this month; and Game, the UK’s leading interactive entertainment retailer, is confirmed as the official gaming retailer for Gadget Show Live @ Christmas 2013.
This year’s Game Zone Stage will be hosted by former Hollyoaks’ stars Matt Littler and Darren Jeffries (Max and OB). Both massive gamers, Matt and Darren recently launched their own game reviews YouTube channel We Got Game (www.youtube.com/user/WeGotGameUK).
Gamers will also have the chance to compete against six of the UK’s biggest YouTube FIFA celebrities. Nepenthez, MattHDGamer and Wroetoshaw will appear at 3pm on Friday and Callux, Calfreezy and Tobiias will take to the stage at 3pm on Sunday.
And, brand new this year, Gadget Show Live @ Christmas is hosting a series of gaming tournaments in association with Plantronics where visitors can test their gaming skills in Minecraft, among other titles, and win fantastic daily prizes.
“What a treat for our visitors to be able to get their hands on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 weeks before they hit the shops; it’s a fantastic opportunity for gamers as the new consoles are the absolute must-have gadgets this Christmas,” commented event manager Katie Tozer.
“The Game Zone Stage is going to be another massive highlight for gamers as they can meet gaming stars, try out some of the newest titles (often before they are released) and have a laugh with Matt and Darren. As gamers and comedians, we know they’re going to make brilliant hosts and keep everyone entertained.”
Gadget Show Live @ Christmas is the London edition of the UK’s biggest consumer tech event. It takes place on 1-3 November 2013 at Earls Court in London and tickets are available from www.gadgetshowlive.net. 33,000 visitors are expected to attend over the three days.
Gadget Show presenters Jason Bradbury, Pollyanna Woodward and Jon Bentley will present a spectacular hour-long entertainment show in the Super Theatre each day.
