 GameGadget Retail Store Now Live!

GameGadget digital download store opens its doors providing a new revenue stream for publishers and even more content to the thousands of games supported by the GameGadget device.
GameGadget's eagerly anticipated digital download store is now live, offering quality, licensed games for instant download to the GameGadget device through its "i-Tunes style" application.
Prices range from 99p to £2.99 and include such retro classics as Sonic 3D Blast, Alex Kidd, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Ecco the Dolphin, Shinobi and VectorMan.
GameGadget now offers a complete retro gaming solution by supporting thousands of games and providing a fully integrated "iTunes style" store and application that allows publishers to exploit their back catalogues and consumers to enjoy a wide range of games on a portable gaming device at a very affordable price of just £59.99 (€79.99) for the console and games from 99p.

The "save game" feature has been implemented as a result of user feedback as gamers increasingly want to play multiple games in smaller bursts and want to save them as they go.
The Developer Sandbox offers advanced users a software development mode to develop their own indie games and new variants of popular classics.

GameGadget's ultimate goal is to support every retro game by providing a secure download mechanism for premium content and an open platform area for freeware and indie games.
The GameGadget Application, the gaming equivalent of iTunes, allows for games to be downloaded directly onto the GameGadget via a secure DRM (Digtial Rights Management) system. Operating on a revenue share basis, developers of content receive revenue for every game that is sold. GameGadget offers gamers, game developers and game publishers, unrivalled choice and flexibility in how they play, create and sell games.
Russell Graham, Head of Development at GameGadget commented:
"Publishers are now working with us as they see the incremental revenue stream that GameGadget can provide for their back catalogue. We've worked hard to ensure that the content is delivered in a secure and traceable way so that publishers can track their downloads and revenues through our store"
