At the heart of the Game Zone (powered by KICK Energy) is the 2014 Game Zone stage, which welcomes back Matt Littler and Darren Jeffries as stage hosts. Perhaps better known as Max and OB from Hollyoaks, Matt and Darren are gaming fanatics and presenters of the We Got Game YouTube channel.
"We can't wait to be back on the Game Zone stage for Gadget Show Live 2014 after having such a ball last year,” they said. “The aim is to make every visit to our stage worthwhile for all our fellow gamers, so we hope visitors come along and get involved and don’t forget to check us out first atwww.youtube.com/wegotgameuk.”
Matt and Darren will oversee five days of comedic activity, interactive events and prize giveaways, including celebrity interviews, game playing, the world’s greatest video game themed pub quiz and a very special personal appearance from YouTube superstar and Call of Duty gaming pro Ali-A on Wednesday 9 April. Ali-A has 3.6 million subscribers and over 700 million views on his YouTube channel. He first attended Gadget Show Live in 2013 where he drew massive crowds.

Visitors will be able to take part and compete for prizes across a wide range of games in the Tournament Zone. Sponsored by Plantronics Gaming, gamers can try out the Plantronics RIG headset and mixer while competing. The Tournament Zone is managed by Multiplay (who will also be managing the Game Zone stage and Minecraft Zone).
GAME Retail returns as the official Game Zone retail partner and will be giving away bundles of prizes to visitors from the Game Zone stage.
“A recent survey of Gadget Show Live visitors showed that 97.4 per cent of them are gamers, which explains why the Game Zone is always buzzing with a huge, energetic crowd,” commented Katie Tozer, Gadget Show Live event manager.
“And with the world exclusive of Sniper Elite 3, plus a pre-launch appearance from Kinect Sports Rivals, this year is going to be something else. For console and PC gamers, it’s unmissable.”
